BEHIND THE LENS

In a world of SLRs, I started photography with a weird looking old fashioned Zeiss Ikon veiw finder film camera. Yet it took the sweetest pictures you can imagine. The lens was superb and it was very fast at f/2.8.

Leap forward to today and I still use unusual cameras for professional work. I prefers Sony mirrorless cameras like the NEX and Alpha. They seem to make more sense in the modern digital world.

The best part of using a Sony mirrorless camera is that almost any lens every made by anybody in the world can be adapted to it thanks to its super short flange. Along with modern lenses from Sony and Rokinon, I use vintage lenses from Pentax, Minolta, Leitz, Leica, Sigma, Vivitar, and others.
